The 360 Vis Nav, a previous-generation model, boasts an impressive 65 air watts of suction power. This enables it to effectively extract dirt, dust, and pet hair from carpets. In her brief evaluation of the robovac, my colleague, Jennifer Pattison Tuohy, noted its exceptional performance, stating it “demolished a pile of dry oatmeal in seconds.” She even momentarily worried it might pull in the tassels from her large rug—thankfully, it didn’t. In comparison, numerous robot vacuums, including Dyson’s newer and pricier $1,200 Spot + Scrub AI, often need multiple attempts to achieve the same level of cleanliness.
Beyond its power, the Dyson 360 Vis Nav’s compact, D-shaped design and strategically placed ultra-fluffy brush are engineered for exceptional edge and corner cleaning, outperforming many of its rounder counterparts. Its low profile enables it to glide easily beneath most beds and sofas. Despite its undeniable strength, it’s important to acknowledge a few areas where the 360 Vis Nav falls short compared to some newer models. While its navigation was satisfactory during our tests, it lacks AI-powered obstacle avoidance and doesn’t include a self-emptying dock. The battery life is also relatively limited, offering about 65 minutes of cleaning per charge.
