Apple enthusiasts have something to celebrate this month as the tech giant’s second-generation AirTags, which debuted less than a month ago, are already being offered at a discounted rate. Costco is leading the charge, providing an enticing deal for its members who can purchase a set of five AirTags for just $99.99, reflecting a $29 savings. This effectively reduces the cost of each tracker to about $20. While this offer is primarily for Costco members, non-members can still snag the deal by paying a $5 surcharge or opting for an annual membership starting at $65.

Apple’s initial AirTag has long been a favorite among iPhone users, and the latest model only enhances its reputation with significant upgrades. A standout feature that distinguishes the AirTag from rivals like the Tile Pro is Apple’s proprietary ultra wideband chip, which provides unmatched precision. The new AirTags maintain this technological edge, guiding users to their misplaced items with visual cues, vibrations, and sound alerts. Impressively, these capabilities now work from distances up to 50 percent greater than before, offering improved reliability in multi-story homes and faster connectivity to your phone. Additionally, the built-in speaker is now 50 percent louder, simplifying the task of locating hidden items.

Despite these advancements, the new AirTag retains the beloved features of its predecessor. It continues to utilize a user-replaceable battery, ensuring longevity without the need for frequent replacements. The device still boasts an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, an extended Bluetooth range, and user-friendly software that allows sharing of the tracker with up to five people. Furthermore, it includes the capability to temporarily share its location with major airlines like United, Delta, and American Airlines, making it a versatile companion for travelers.
