Michael J. Fox appeared in great spirits as he stepped out to watch his team the New York Rangers battle it out against the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday.
The Canadian actor, 60, displayed his passion for the sport as he threw his fists in the air whilst his wife, Tracy Pollen, 61, loving gazed at him during the ice hockey game.
Taking to the audience at Madison Square Garden, Michael was in his element as he cheered on the players with his smitten wife.

He donned a dark blue T-shirt, emblazoned with a graphic design and a smart leather jacket for the match.
Tracy wore a red and white leather baseball jacket with a bumblebee emblem as she also opted for a sporty look.
She wore her blonde locks loose in a straightened style and added a sweep of gold eyeshadow to complete her look.

The outing comes after it was announced that a feature-length documentary about the life of Michael will be produced by Apple Original Films.
The actor rose to fame portraying Alex P. Keaton on the 1980s NBC sitcom Family Ties and also starred in the Back To The Future trilogy of films.
The untitled documentary will be directed by Oscar winner Davis Guggenheim, according to an article on Wednesday by The Hollywood Reporter.

The documentary already is in production with shooting taking place in New York, Los Angeles and Vancouver.
The description for the project said the documentary will follow ‘the improbable tale of an undersized kid from a Canadian army base who rose to the heights of stardom in 1980s Hollywood.
‘The account of Michael’s public life, full of nostalgic thrills and cinematic gloss, will unspool alongside his never-before-seen private journey, including the years that followed his diagnosis, at 29, with Parkinson’s disease.’
‘Intimate and honest, and produced with unprecedented access to Fox and his family, the film will chronicle Fox’s personal and professional triumphs and travails, and will explore what happens when an incurable optimist confronts an incurable disease,’ the description added.

The documentary is being produced by Guggenheim’s Concordia Studio that previously worked with Apple on the documentary Boys State.
Michael made the decision to retire in 2020 after going on as long as his body would allow with Parkinson’s disease which can cause involuntary shaking of the body and stiff and inflexible muscles.
When he was 29, a doctor estimated he may have 10 years of being mobile enough to work.

Not wanting to publicly declare that he had the nervous system disorder at the time, he tried to incorporate it into the parts he was playing.
He retired from showbusiness in 1998 and created the Michael J. Fox Foundation, a non-governmental organisation that funds the search for a cure to Parkinson’s disease.
Last year, in a statement to Daily Mail Australia for World Parkinson’s Day, Michael said he was ‘absolutely certain’ they are ‘tip of the spear’ in finding a cure.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation has already funded £767million in research in under 20 years.
