Atlanta: Rapper YFN Lucci Stabbed In Jail: What Happened? Arrested Over Racketeering

Rapper YFN Lucci has been in the Fulton County Jail since January 2021, when he surrendered for the 2020 shooting that killed James Adams, 28, and injured another, and also for racketeering. However, as his May 12 trial date approaches, the Atlanta rapper is pleading for his release.

According to TMZ, YFN Lucci was stabbed by a fellow inmate in February and believes he will die in prison if he is not released. According to legal documents, there is a bounty on his head among inmates.

YFN Lucci claims he was wounded with a handmade shank while on a video call, and he’s now asking for a bond, even if it means wearing an ankle monitor and being under house arrest.

Rapper YFN Lucci Beef With Young Thug

The feud between the YFN Lucci and Young Thug dates back to 2017, when Thug declared himself to be the next Tupac Shakur, a claim Lucci strongly refuted.

He then went on to chastise Thug for his announcement as well as his penchant for wearing dresses, and the feud has lingered ever since. Lucci spoke out in an interview with Atlanta’s V-103, implying that he was exploiting the beef for exposure.

Outside of social media pranks, it hasn’t amounted to anything, though Lucci did claim to have slept with Thug’s longtime girlfriend, Jerrika Karlae, at one point.

Bennett’s arrest warrants were issued in early 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia, charging him with a December 2020 shooting that killed a 28-year-old man and injured another, according to the Atlanta Police Department (APD).

Lucci has been charged with “aggravated assault and participation in criminal street gang activity” in addition to being a suspect in the shooting. After turning himself in to police on January 13, 2021, he was arrested.

He is one of 12 people indicted in a 105-count RICO indictment in May 2021. Bennett was accused of racketeering, breaking the state’s anti-gang law, and possessing a firearm while committing a felony. Bennett’s bond was refused by a Fulton County judge on June 1, 2021.
