In a decisive move on Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to end what had been dubbed the Schumer Shutdown, effectively reopening the government. The vote concluded with a tally of 222-209, as six Democrats joined with the Republican majority to push the measure through.

Amid the Democratic dismay, the atmosphere at the White House was one of relief and satisfaction, as they stood firm in their commitment to serving the American public.

Hear the Democrat weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then see the mockery and laughter from the White House, which stood its ground on behalf of the American people.

The list of six Democrats who crossed the aisle to ensure the government could reopen will live in infamy: Jared Golden (D-ME), Adam Gray (D-CA), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA), Don Davis (D-NC), Henry Cuellar (D-TX), and Tom Suozzi (D-NY). Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) thought he had his soldiers in line. As with so many of the stances Jeffries takes these days, he was dead wrong.

But in this new Democrat Socialist Party, these representatives are as useless as a screen door on a submarine. The long knives are already out to primary them.

Demoralized Democrat representatives are taking to the airwaves to declare that this vote was “shameful,” and they will continue to fight.

WATCH:

Sure, Jan.

Editor’s Note: After more than 40 days of screwing Americans, a few Dems have finally caved. The Schumer Shutdown was never about principle—just inflicting pain for political points.
