Ian McElhinney (born 1948) is a British actor and occasional director. McElhinney has appeared in many television series in a career spanning more than thirty years, notable appearances include Taggart, Hornblower, Cold Feet and The Tudors. In recent times he has become known for his portrayal of Barristan Selmy in Game of Thrones and Morgan Monroe in The Fall.
