The 2023 January transfer window hasn’t exactly been a thrill a minute so far.

Tottenham have signed a few players, Bayern Munich have signed a few players, and that’s been it really.

However, with a number of players still being linked with moves, there is still time for business to pick up.

Here’s five transfers were expect to happen before the transfer window slams shut:

Conor Gallagher

Potential destination: Tottenham Hotspur

Despite being a key player for Mauricio Pochettino, rumours have continuously swirled regarding Conor Gallagher’s Chelsea future over the last six months.

The dynamic midfielder has once again been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur in recent days, and with the Blues needing some help with their current FFP position, a deal could rather amazingly be a goer before the window shuts.

It would be a huge coup for Tottenham and a huge loss for Chelsea.

Armando Broja

Potential destination: Fulham, Wolves

Another outgoing could be Armando Broja.

To put it bluntly, he’d be much less of a loss than Gallagher.

There is a player in there somewhere however, and his physical presence and ability to run the channels makes him an ideal signing for a mid-table Premier League side in need so some extra offensive firepower. And that’s exactly why Fulham and Wolves are vying for his signature heading into the final days of the window.

Jhon Duran

Potential destination: Chelsea

Here’s one that’s come out of nowhere. Jhon Duran, a player who hasn’t started a single Premier League game for Aston Villa all season, is being linked with a move to Chelsea.

The 20-year-old’s transfer to Stamford Bridge is seemingly predicated on Broja heading out the door.

Potential destination: Granada

It perhaps says a lot about Facundo Pellistri’s current standing at Manchester United that, despite the likes of Antony, Marcus Rashford and co all woefully underperforming, he has managed just one Premier League start all season.

At 22 years old now, Pellistri simply needs game-time, and a proposed loan move to Granada could provide him with exactly that.

Giovanni Reyna

Potential destination: Fiorentina, Marseille, Nottingham Forest

Once heralded as the ‘next big thing’ by American fans, Giovanni Reyna now finds himself at a career crossroads thanks to a mixture of poor form and even worse luck with injuries.

In order to reignite his career, it’s clear he needs a move away from Borussia Dortmund this January.

There are plenty of clubs who are keen on the wide forward, with Fiorentina perhaps being the standout at the moment. He’d be fantastic in Vicenzo Italiano’s tactical system.
