Goalkeepers Matt Turner and Odysseas Vlachodimos have continued to stuggle for Forest, despite signing for the club only last summer.

Forest had been exploring a number of options including a £15m deal for Crystal Palace’s Sam Johnstone and a deal for Real Betis stopper Rui Silva.

Johnstone is now looking likely to stay at Crystal Palace after his move to Forest fell through.

He was keen to move in order to preserve his Euro 2024 chances with England but Forest are now set to sign Sels.
