Effingham transitioning to new payment portal

EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WCIA) — If you need to make a water bill payment in Effingham on Monday, you may experience brief delays.

The City of Effingham Water Department has announced that their online payment portal will be temporarily offline on Monday morning as they upgrade to a new and improved system. According to the city, this new portal will provide a more seamless and user-friendly experience. Additionally, it will include expanded payment options.

If you wish to make an online payment, you’ll need your account number and customer bill. This information can be found on your postcard bill, or by contacting the office at 217-342-2366.
