CNN viewers are criticizing the network for a ‘crazy’ interview with a member of the Sinaloa Cartel.

The left-leaning news network interviewed an anonymous member of the cartel about President Donald Trump, leaving viewers outraged.

CNN’s international correspondent Isobel Yeung traveled to Sinaloa, Mexico, to speak with the masked cartel member and interview him regarding the drug trafficking organization.

In a video clip labeled by one social media user as a “disgusting effort to generate sympathy” for the cartel, Yeung is seen meeting with a man who is allegedly involved in the production of fentanyl for the cartel.

When the interviewer asked whether the area was safe or dangerous, the man replied, “all areas are dangerous.”

“According to the Trump administration, you are a terrorist,” Yeung tells the interviewee.

“The cartels have been labeled a foreign terrorist organization. What do you make of that?”

The man, dressed entirely in black, wearing a ski mask, sunglasses, and a hat, called the situation “ugly.”

“The situation is ugly, but we have to eat,” he said.

Then the gangster surprisingly said he has “respect” for the president.

“My respect. According to him, he’s looking out for his people,” the cartel member replied.

“But the problem is that the consumers are in the United States. If there weren’t any consumers, we would stop.”

Social media users were quick to call out the outlet for the question.

“The focus here for me is what he said,” one user wrote on X.

“He gave Trump more respect than democrats and the media.”

Another user told the network to “sell crazy somewhere else.”

“Does CNN believe that Sinaloa is being mistreated by the American president,” the user asked.

“Are they trying to make them sympathetic figures who are just misunderstood?

Trump’s latest immigration crackdown initiatives

  • Donald Trump announced on May 5 that illegal immigrants who “self-deport” will be given a $1,000 stipend and free flight home
  • WH Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt reported that the 7,000 illegal immigrants attempted to cross the border in March – the lowest in history
  • Trump declared Mexican cartels and the El Salvadorian gang MS-13 terrorist organizations
  • On May 4, Trump also announced he plans to reopen the notorious Alcatraz prison, which once housed gangster Al Capone
  • In January, Trump revealed plans to send up to 30,000 illegal immigrants to detention facilities in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba
  • In March, the US president began to deport hundreds of alleged gang members to a notorious prison in El Salvador

“Sell crazy somewhere else CNN. We’ve got more than enough crazy here already.”

IMMIGRATION CRACKDOWN

The interview comes as Trump continues to ramp up his efforts to deport illegal immigrants and crack down on drug trafficking in the country.

Trump recently announced that any illegal immigrant who voluntarily identifies themselves will receive $1,000 and a complimentary flight back to their home country.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, the self-deportation option is a “dignified way to leave the U.S. and will allow illegal aliens to avoid being encountered by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.”

“If you are here illegally, self-deportation is the best, safest and most cost-effective way to leave the United States to avoid arrest,” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement.

The agency estimates that the self-deportation stipend will cut deportation costs by 70%.
