An 18-year-old was allegedly seen abandoning a plastic container holding a dismembered woman’s torso at a Georgia apartment complex, according to reports.
Kingston Lammar Bradley was arrested Wednesday after Smyrna police responded to a missing-person report at the Park Valley apartment complex, the Smyrna Police Department said in a news release.
According to a warrant obtained by Fox 5 Atlanta, a witness reported seeing Bradley carry the plastic container through an open area of the complex for nearly 30 minutes Wednesday evening.
The witness allegedly noticed Bradley drop the container onto a dirt path after he realized he was being watched. Investigators said he then ran to a nearby apartment, according to court documents.
Officers who arrived at the scene opened the container and found a dismembered woman’s torso inside, Fox 5 Atlanta reported. The woman has not been identified.
A search of Bradley’s apartment reportedly uncovered multiple blood-stained areas, a mop, a bucket of water, a carpet cleaner, a strong smell of bleach and a large saw covered in blood, according to the warrant.
Bradley was taken into custody and held without bond on a felony charge of concealing the death of another person, court records show.
Smyrna police said detectives are continuing to interview witnesses and gather evidence. Additional information is expected as the investigation proceeds.
