The Jenkins High School football squad from Savannah, Ga. recently celebrated as two more of their players took steps to advance both their athletic and educational pursuits.

Running back Jayuan Albert announced his commitment to Allen University. During his high school tenure, he contributed 592 rushing yards over 69 carries and found the end zone seven times. He also added 90 receiving yards with six catches.

“What made Allen University special for me was getting a personal invitation to visit,” shared Albert. “Watching their spring game and seeing their offensive strategies really impressed me. I feel grateful to everyone who supported me. Thank you.”

Also signing was Ke’Tayrion Haynes. The outside linebacker and edge rusher will head to Dodge City Community College, where two of his teammates will be waiting for him.

“I choose Dodge City because feel like it they would give me a chance at a different position that I didn’t play in high school and I’ll excel at the next level. If it goes accordingly, I’ll be out of there in a year. All glory to God.”

“I appreciate the Jenkins family. When I came in as a junior transferred from Windsor High School, they brought me in the family. I’ve been playing ball ever since then.
