A family in Georgia is grieving after the tragic loss of their 18-year-old son, who was on the verge of completing high school. The tragedy occurred when three masked individuals, pretending to be Uber Eats drivers, allegedly shot at the young man as soon as he answered the door.

The victim, Martino Allen, responded to a door knock around 10 p.m. on Monday at an apartment complex located in Union City, just outside of Atlanta. His mother, Tiffany Fuller, recounted the incident to WSB, a local ABC station, and WAGA, a Fox affiliate.

“Someone knocked on the door and said Uber Eats, and when my son opened the door, they just started shooting him,” she said.

Three masked and hooded gunmen opened fire. A neighbor’s Ring camera footage captured the shots.

According to Allen’s family, he had been dealing with issues involving certain individuals at his school and they suspect that he was deliberately targeted. After the shooting, some companions present in the apartment fled the scene without staying to assist or provide information to the police, the family reported.

Allen was a senior at McNair High School and had just attended prom last week, according to Fuller.

“They took my baby,” she said. “My baby’s gone.”

The death has been difficult on the family.
