Few have more justification to question the state of society than Barbara Steinmetz. During an interview with NBC News a few days after the assault, she remarked, “We’re Americans, we should aspire to better.” Rabbi Marc Soloway leads the Congregation Bonai Shalom, which Steinmetz belongs to.
