Police seeking info after motorcycle pursuit in Russell County

RUSSELL COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) — The Virginia State Police (VSP) are seeking assistance from the public to identify a motorcyclist who allegedly evaded a traffic stop in Russell County on May 31.

According to VSP, a trooper attempted to stop a Harley-Davidson Screaming Eagle around 11 a.m. due to reckless driving and helmet/registration violations in the vicinity of Moccasin Ridge Road and Route 71.

During the pursuit, the motorcycle reportedly became disabled in the Clinch Mountain Road area. The motorcyclist then fled on foot, according to VSP.
