Gratton, 34, was last seen on April 15 leaving her apartment, sparking an urgent search.

Cops in Lakewood, Colorado, revealed her body was found in an alleyway.

“The body was in advanced stages of decomposition and could not be positively identified,” police added.

Cops found the clothes she was wearing on the night she was last seen, as reported by the Fox affiliate KDVR-TV.

Coroners have not formally identified the remains, but Gratton’s death was announced by her mom in a Facebook group dedicated to the search efforts.

“With a heavy heart, I must inform you that our dear Jax Gratton has been located — unfortunately, she is no longer with us,” her mother, Cherilynne Gratton-Camis, shared online on Saturday.

“There are no words strong enough for the grief we are feeling.

“The light she carried, the love she gave so freely, and the joy she brought into our lives have been taken from this world far too soon.”

Gratton-Camis paid a glowing tribute to her daughter.

“Jax Gratton was a light — I know that. She lit up so many lives just by being herself,” she wrote.

“Unapologetically. Fiercely. Fully. I see her in every act of love and strength you’ve shown, and I wish peace, love, and protection for all of you.”

Gratton’s friends grew concerned when she didn’t complete hair appointments that had already been scheduled in.

She left her Denver home without her cat and medication, her friends said at the time.

Gratton reportedly told pals she would return home after three hours, but she failed to do so.

Missing hairstylist found dead

HAIRSTYLIST Jax Gratton, aged 34, disappeared on April 15 after leaving her home. Her absence led to a two-month-long search until her remains were discovered in an alleyway.

“With a broken heart, I share the news that our beloved Jax Gratton has been found — and she is no longer with us.

“There are no words strong enough to convey the sorrow we are experiencing. The brightness she brought, the unconditional love she shared, and the happiness she infused into our lives have been taken from this world far too soon.

“I want to thank everyone — near and far — who has shown up for us.

“Everyone who shared her story. Everyone who shared her face. Everyone who sent out a prayer, a hope, a kind thought. Everyone who hit the ground running and hasn’t stopped.

“You have brought so much light into our lives during the darkest time. Your words, your support, your strength — they’ve helped keep us going. You’ve reminded us that we can’t give up, and we won’t, not until she was found. Now, we grieve together.

“I will never forget your kindness.

“This has opened my eyes in ways I can’t ignore. It’s not just about Jax — it’s about all of you in the LGBTQIA+ community who face the world every day with courage, just wanting to live, love, and exist safely and equally.

“That should never be a fight. And yet it is.

“Jax Gratton was a light — I know that. She lit up so many lives just by being herself.

“Unapologetically. Fiercely. Fully. I see her in every act of love and strength you’ve shown, and I wish peace, love, and protection for all of you.

“I hope for a world that’s safer — for me, for my children, and for all of us who are connected by care and compassion.

“Please remember: you are not alone. If you need help, speak up. It is never too late.

“Thank you – truly – for everything.”

Gratton-Camis feared something sinister might’ve happened to her daughter.

She told People that she was “terrified.”

“My fear is that somebody killed her. That is my fear.”

FINAL POST

On April 10, she shared pictures of her pet cat.

This proved to be her final social media post.

“It’s refreshing to love the person you are becoming,” she wrote.

“Side note – to my beautiful daughter Madame Francesca, I love you so much.

“Thank you for all your kitty cuddles and silly photos like this one.”

Gratton last spoke to her mom on April 11 as she wanted to send some hair products to her sister, 19.

Gratton-Camis said her daughter promised to talk to her on Easter Sunday.

She texted and tried to FaceTime her but her efforts proved unsuccessful.

Gratton-Camis admitted she started to fear the worse when her daughter didn’t talk to her about the death of Pope Francis.
