Authorities in Costa Rica are searching for a woman suspected of homicide after an American citizen was found dead in late September.
Costa Rica’s Judicial Investigation Agency, the country’s equivalent of the FBI, is asking the public for help identifying the woman. The American victim, identified as “Fleming,” was found dead on Sept. 27 inside a condominium near the beach.
According to Costa Rican authorities, the 74-year-old American entered a condominium in Playas del Coco at 4:50 p.m. on Sept. 27. The seaside town is located in a popular tourist region along Costa Rica’s northern Pacific coast.
Investigators believe the woman was seen leaving the condominium without the victim.
Officials later discovered the man’s body, which showed head injuries believed to have been caused by blunt-force objects.
