A woman died after being swept from rocks while watching the sunrise with her husband on a California beach, The Post can reveal.
Kaylee Molina, 30, originally from Indio and later living in El Paso, Texas, drowned Wednesday at Sycamore Cove in Ventura County as her 32-year-old husband, Roberto Clemente, watched helplessly.
Clemente, who had been in a relationship with Molina for 10 years, was also pulled into the Pacific Ocean. He managed to reach the shore and call 911.
First responders were unable to revive Molina, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Clemente was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries at about 11:40 a.m.
In the hours before the tragedy, Clemente shared a series of haunting final photographs showing the couple walking along the beach, drinking beer and taking in the sunrise.
Other images captured their hike down to the secluded Malibu beach near the iconic Point Mugu.
One photograph was taken near an underpass, where authorities say the couple had been sitting on the rocks.
Molina’s family has launched a fundraiser as they mourn her death. She was one of four siblings. “Our family is going through one of the most painful moments of our lives,” they wrote.
“We recently lost our beloved sister Kaylee in a tragic drowning accident at the beach, and we are struggling to come to terms with the reality of losing her so unexpectedly.

“Born in July 1996, she had so much life ahead of her. She was one of four siblings, and her loss has left a heartbreak in our family that words cannot fully express.”
Clemente told The Post that the horrifying incident remains “fresh in my mind,” adding that he has been unable to sleep since it happened.
In a Facebook post, he said he had “tragically lost my wife, my best friend, and my partner of 10 years.”
“What was supposed to be a beautiful trip together in California turned into something I never imagined I would have to experience.
“My heart is completely shattered, and I’m still struggling to process that she’s no longer here with us,” he added.
Clemente said donations from the fundraiser would help transport Molina’s body, provide “the beautiful farewell she deserves” and cover other memorial expenses.
“Rest peacefully, my love. I will carry you in my heart forever,” he concluded.
The tragedy occurred as Hurricane Rachel battered Southern California with powerful swells and torrential rain. Numerous homes in Long Beach and other coastal communities suffered extensive damage.
