Security camera footage reportedly shows the moment a man committed a robbery at a Queensland store last week, allegedly carrying a meat cleaver.

The footage captures the man entering a shop located on Dohles Rocks Road in Murrumba Downs, wielding a meat cleaver.

He demands cash and menaces a male employee with the cleaver.

The cashier hands the money over before the man walks away.

The alleged robbery took place at 7.30pm on June 7.

Police released the CCTV as part of an investigation into the alleged armed robbery.

The man was last seen leaving the store on foot towards Kallangur.

No one was harmed during the incident.

Police are appealing for anyone who may recognise the man to come forward.

They are also asking for anyone who has dashcam footage of Dohles Rocks Road at the time of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
