Elon Musk has expressed regret over “some” of his remarks about Donald Trump following their public disagreement last week.

The billionaire shared on X that some of his statements may have been “over the top.”

This follows a heated exchange between them last week, during which Trump referred to Musk as a “major drug addict.”

Musk went after Trump with posts that included insinuation the president was named in the so-called Epstein files.

While Musk did not immediately specify which comments he regretted, the Epstein post has since been deleted.

The Tesla and SpaceX boss had blasted Trump’s flagship spending bill as a “disgusting abomination”.

He also called for Trump to be impeached during the lengthy online row.

Trump has called his spending plans a “big, beautiful bill”, but Musk believes it could further balloon America’s national debt.
