The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the two men were found fatally shot early Saturday morning.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A young man, aged 18, is now facing murder charges due to a fatal double shooting that occurred early Saturday at a shopping center on Baymeadows Road, as reported by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Police responded around 3:30 a.m. to the 9500 block of Baymeadows Road regarding a reported shooting.

Officers found two men identified as 19-year-old Rubisnney Giraldo-Mina and 41-year-old Larry Baldwin Sr. suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to police, the accused, named as 18-year-old Larry Baldwin Jr., tried to administer first aid to one of the victims when officers reached the location.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to the scene and officials pronounced both victims dead.

Police said Baldwin Jr. was detained at the scene.

JSO later confirmed to First Coast News that one of the victims is the suspect’s father.

Homicide detectives interviewed Baldwin Jr. and police said their investigation found he shot the two victims during an argument.

Baldwin Jr. was arrested Saturday afternoon on two counts of second-degree murder and is now being held in the Duval County Jail.

JSO said it will work closely with the State Attorney’s Office as the case proceeds.
