Some 145 revellers have been stabbed with syringes in a wave of horror attacks at a music festival in France.

The affected individuals, mostly teenage girls, were transported to the hospital for toxicology examinations due to concerns they might have been injected with an unknown substance.

Some reported feeling unwell following the pricks.

Millions took to the cobblestone pavements across France on Saturday to attend a street music festival called Fête de la Musique (World Music Day).

The stabbings happened across France with 13 jabbed in Paris after “unprecedented crowds” hit the capital, according to cops.

Disgusting calls on social media had spread before the festival calling for women to be stabbed, according to Le Monde.

French cops have arrested 12 people over the sick act.

Some 50 were stabbed in the south-western city of Angoulême.

They have not clarified if the syringes were spiked with a chemical – such as date-rape drug GHB.

Ten girls are alleged to have been attacked by one man with a syringe in the northeastern French city of Metz.

Cops tracked the suspect down by using CCTV footage, according to mayor Francois Grosdidier.

He mentioned: “The local police spotted him on Rue Serpenoise, apprehended him, and handed him over to the National Police and the Justice Department.”

“I hope that the investigation, particularly through the examination of his cellphone, will lead to the identification of other attackers.”

Some 370 people were arrested at the country-wide festival at-large on various charges.

The frontline around the city of Vuhledar, a strategic rail and road hub south of Bakhmut, resembles an apocalyptic scenario. Destroyed buildings and burned cars are scattered at both sides of the road. There, hidden on basements of abandoned houses, the Ukrainian Volunteer Army hold their positions against relentless attacks by Russian forces. Under the threat of the enemyâs artillery, that echoes through the village, soldiers hold their fortified positions in shifts of 12h.
