In an extensive post on Truth Social on Wednesday, Trump described the trial as a “witch hunt” and urged that such an unfair process should not continue against someone who has contributed significantly to Israel.
“BREAKING NEWS… I was stunned to learn that the State of Israel, which recently experienced one of its greatest historical moments and is effectively governed by Bibi Netanyahu, persists in this absurd Witch Hunt against their esteemed Wartime Prime Minister!” Trump’s message stated.
“Bibi and I endured major challenges together, battling a formidable and strategic long-standing adversary of Israel, Iran, and Bibi excelled in displaying his unwavering LOVE for the remarkable Holy Land,” he continued. “Anyone else would have faced defeat, humiliation, and disorder! Bibi Netanyahu was a WARRIOR, possibly unmatched in the annals of Israel’s history, achieving an unexpected triumph, dismantling what was potentially one of the largest and most potent Nuclear threats worldwide, and it was imminent!”
“We were fighting, literally, for the Survival of Israel, and there is nobody in Israel’s History that fought harder or more competently than Bibi Netanyahu,” Trump continued, as he pointed out that he had just learned Netanyahu was summoned to appear in court on Monday for the the long-running “Horror Show” he’s been going through “since May of 2020.

President Trump labeled the case “politically motivated” with numerous “unfair charges,” which he said were designed to do the Israeli leader “great harm.”
“Such a WITCH HUNT, for a man who has given so much, is unthinkable to me,” the President said. “He deserves much better than this, and so does the State of Israel. Bibi Netanyahu’s trial should be CANCELLED, IMMEDIATELY, or a Pardon given to a Great Hero, who has done so much for the State.”
“Perhaps there is no one that I know who could have worked in better harmony with the President of the United States, ME, than Bibi Netanyahu,” he added. “It was the United States of America that saved Israel, and now it is going to be the United States of America that saves Bibi Netanyahu. THIS TRAVESTY OF ‘JUSTICE’ CAN NOT BE ALLOWED!”
The comments came amid speculation that a rift had developed between the two men, as RedState reported.
However, Trump’s Special Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview filmed at the White House last week that speculation about a falling-out between the two leaders is “preposterous.”
Trump dropped an expletive-laced rant on Tuesday directed at both Israel and Iran for violating the ceasefire he had announced just hours earlier, RedState reported.
