() Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. launched a new statewide health initiative in Oklahoma alongside Gov. Kevin Stitton Thursday at the Oklahoma State Capitol.

Stitt announced the rollout of “Make Oklahoma Healthy Again” on Wednesday, which will promote “common-sense health policies, medical freedom, and a return to personal responsibility.”

Although details of the new campaign have not yet been released, its name is an echo of Kennedy’s nationwide push to “Make America Healthy Again.”

Kennedy’s visit comes days after his overhaul of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s vaccine advisory panel drew scrutiny from lawmakers on Tuesday during a tense hearing, in which lawmakers grilled him on transparency and process.

Oklahoma currently ranks among the least healthy states. It ranks in the bottom five in nearly all the 2024 America’s Health Rankings main measures of health: social and economic factors, physical environment, clinical care, behaviors and health outcomes.
