Only this past Friday, Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos celebrated their nuptials with a grand ceremony in Venice, attended by a host of famous personalities—yet already, Jeff is showing his commitment as a devoted husband.

At the age of 61, the Amazon founder showed his affection for the 55-year-old former journalist Sanchez, as they shared their vows on Friday on San Giorgio Maggiore island, with celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Sydney Sweeney, and Orlando Bloom witnessing the special moment.

However, on Saturday, during the third and concluding night of celebrations, the Daily Mail’s expert lip reader Nicola Hickling observed a heartfelt interaction between the newly-married pair as they prepared for the final event of their lavish, multi-day celebration costing $20 million in the enchanting Italian city.

Bezos was seen lovingly holding out his hand to help Sanchez step down into a water taxi as she battled with her figure-hugging pink gown, believed to be desgined by Atelier Versace.

Sanchez was then seen thanking her new husband for offering his help before the pair turned to wave to the gathered watching crowds.

In another scene from the boat, filmed as the duo began their journey to the destination of Saturday night’s ‘pajama party’, Sanchez turned to gaze adoringly at Bezos.

According to Hickling, she uttered the words ‘love you’ before Bezos leaned in for a kiss.

After the couple pulled their lips apart, Sanchez turned her head toward the nearby assembled photographers and mouthed ‘impressed.’

The heartfelt interaction came just hours after Bezos was forced to jump in and protect his wife from shouting Italian reporters.

Bezos and Sanchez were hounded by local journalists as they left the Aman hotel – where rooms start at well over $1,000 a night – on Saturday, with one reporter asking: ‘What do you think about the protests, Jeff?’

The question came in relation to a string of protests against the billionaire’s extravagant wedding in the ancient city this weekend.

About a dozen Venetian organizations — including housing advocates, anti-cruise ship campaigners and university groups — have been protesting under the banner ‘No Space for Bezos.’ 

But while Sanchez valiantly ignored the yelled questions, the Amazon founder – who is worth some $230 billion – simply said: ‘Love you guys.’

Keeping it classy, Bezos even then blew a kiss to the Italian reporters.

Indeed, it has been clear the pair are determined not to let any protesting get in the way of their audacious weekend celebrations.

And Sanchez wasted no time in beginning her huge ‘Bezos rebrand’ following the vows on Saturday.

Deleting all her past Instagram posts and changing her profile to include her new famous surname, she shared new images showcasing her stunning Dolce & Gabbana bridal gown.

Sanchez has also debuted a giant new wedding ring – an oval-cut diamond worth an estimated $4 million – to dwarf her existing $2.5 million engagement rock.

Just moments after saying ‘I do’ on Friday evening, the bride wiped all but two posts that showcased her stunning Dolce & Gabbana gown 

Courtesy of celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, the new gem is believed to weigh in at around 30 carats.

‘We don’t have a lot of traditions that we’re keeping,’ Sanchez told Vogue ahead of the big day. ‘I mean, I love traditions, but for a 55-year-old woman, it’s a little different.’

But she did admit to keeping to the tradition of not letting her husband-to-be see her dress before the big day – despite the fact they have both been married before.

‘I almost gave in,’ she revealed, adding he ‘begged’ her for a glimpse. ‘But I want it to be a surprise. As you get a little older, not many things surprise you. I can’t wait to see his face.’

While her a pair of earrings served as her ‘something borrowed’ on the wedding day, Sanchez gave her ‘something blue’ a cosmic twist – carrying a secret artifact from her recent 11-minute space journey.

‘Blue Origin,’ Sanchez said. ‘It’s something from my space flight.’
