Natasha Cloud's WNBA All-Star Game case isn't straightforward

The Liberty will be well represented at All-Star weekend in Indianapolis later this month.

This week, Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu were selected as All-Star starters. Additionally, coach Sandy Brondello was chosen to lead Team Napheesa Collier, thanks to the Liberty’s ranking as the team with the second-best winning percentage as of Thursday.

Two other Liberty players, Natasha Cloud and Jonquel Jones, are optimistic about hearing their names announced on Sunday when the league reveals the 12 reserves, chosen by league coaches.

Jones had a strong case to be an All-Star starter, boasting averages of 15.6 points and 11.3 rebounds across her first six games, before a right ankle sprain set her back. She’s been able to play in just nine games so far, and while there’s no required minimum of games played to qualify as an All-Star, given these circumstances, it seems improbable.
