TWO people have died and several are injured after a mass shooting in Indianapolis as Fourth of July violence spilled into the weekend.

A terrifying shooting erupted in the early hours of Saturday, with “hundreds” of young people assembling around South Illinois Street and West Washington Street.

Officers were already addressing a situation in the vicinity when they were summoned to another disturbance, hearing shots as they neared the location shortly before 1:30 a.m.

When they arrived, multiple people had been shot and one was pronounced dead.

Five victims were transported to local hospitals where one later died.

Another ended up walking to an area hospital and is said to be in a stable condition.

The identities of those who died and were injured have not been released.

Cops have confirmed that the victims were made up of three juveniles and three adults.

At least one of the fatalities was a juvenile, they added.
