Wild video shows an escaped lion attacking a mother and her two children in the street — as its owner allegedly stood by and watched.

Last week in Lahore, Pakistan, a large feline escaped from a farmhouse. Surveillance footage captured the moment it vaulted over a wall and charged at a mother with her two children, who were 5 and 7 years old.

The unidentified mom turned and tried to flee — just for the terrifying animal to leap on her back, clinging on as she fell to the ground.

Despite some bystanders rushing to assist the mother and her children during the attack, the lion’s owner was present but reportedly did not intervene, as noted in a police report.

The unidentified owner — who was arrested days later — made no effort to restrain the escaped beast, the attacked children’s dad told police.

The mom and her young kids suffered injuries to their faces and arms, but none are life-threatening, officials said.

The lion was kept in the farmhouse without a license, Mubeen Elahi, Director General of the Punjab Wildlife and Parks Department, told Dawn.

Elahi mentioned to the outlet, “Under the new regulations for owning big cats, individuals must obtain a license, adhere to specified cage dimensions, and follow other standard operating procedures.” He further explained that illegal ownership could result in penalties of up to seven years in prison.

The director said farms in the region would be inspected by the end of the week, and that 18 big cats had already been confiscated in department raids.

The lion was eventually relocated to a wildlife park, officials said.
