KERR COUNTY, Texas () The manager of Kerr County’s historic Hunt Store says she has “no doubt” the community icon will be rebuilt after being destroyed in recent flooding.

“The store is absolutely everything to the community,” said Hunt Store manager Courtney Garrison. “I am a fourth-generation resident born and raised and I’ve been the manager there for a year-and-a-half and it is absolutely everything.”

For locals, Hunt Store isn’t just a shop; it’s a restaurant, music venue and gathering place.

“For the Hunt Store, I have no doubt that it is going to come back stronger and better and faster than anyone anticipates,” said Garrison.

President Donald Trump was expected to visit central Texas and Hunt Store on Friday for a firsthand look at the destruction caused by deadly floodwaters in the early morning hours of the Fourth of July holiday.

The disaster has claimed at least 120 lives, and more than 160 people remain missing.

The store has set up a GoFundMe for donations toward its rebuilding efforts.
