This terrifying incident involves a British tourist who was pulled out of a vacation bar and beaten by the staff after supposedly not paying a hefty £460 bill for drinks.

Disturbing footage from the bar in Thailand’s Chiang Mai city shows the shirtless holidaymaker being manhandled near the entrance as chaos erupts.

About six men are visible holding his arms and legs, while others kick him repeatedly. As this occurs, he begs, “I’ll pay in cash. I swear. I’ll come pay in cash.”

The 26-year-old who was traveling alone was allegedly slapped with an inflated charge of 20,000 baht, approximately £460, for drinks at the Diamond Karaoke Bar on Wednesday evening.

But when he refused to pay and tried to leave, bar workers chased him outside and launched into the brutal attack.

Thai cops confirmed that nine staff members have been arrested in connection with the brawl, which was caught on camera and shared widely online.

Colonel Pratchaya Thisala, from the local Black Hawk police unit, said: “The British tourist was travelling alone.

“According to the initial medical examination, he only sustained minor injuries and nothing was broken.

“There is a lot of witness testimony and evidence. The security camera footage shows that an argument started inside the bar.

He added: “The foreigner wanted to return to his accommodation first and suggested they talk again later, but the other party didn’t agree. The altercation then escalated outside the bar. At the time, the foreigner was also intoxicated.”

Those arrested are aged between 18 and 28, with one of them having reportedly turned himself in.

Moment Brits including woman are beaten and kicked by Turkish ‘Mad Boys’ bouncers in row over bill and ‘insulting flag’

They now face charges of assault, operating an unlicensed entertainment venue, and selling alcohol past legal hours.

Locals said the bar had been operating for only two months under new management, after the previous owner had sold the business.

Police were known to make frequent visits to the establishment over recurring arguments between staff and patrons, often over allegedly inflated bills.

Most of the customers were tourists, usually dropped off by hired drivers or vans who were reportedly paid with commissions by the bar.

The bar has since been shut down by authorities.

It comes as another holiday bar brawl made headlines after British tourists were filmed being battered by restaurant bouncers in Turkey.

The wild scene unfolded outside the Mad Boys restaurant in Marmaris on June 2 after a row reportedly erupted over an unpaid 5,000 TL (£92) bill and alleged insults directed at the Turkish flag.

Footage shows the fight breaking out on the pavement as male staff launch a violent frenzy of punches and kicks.

Two tourists are knocked to the ground and mercilessly kicked as they lie curled up on the pavement.

In an astonishing moment, one restaurant worker even leaps out of a window to join the melee, as stunned passersby scream in horror.

A male Brit can be seen trying to fend off attackers, shadow boxing as chaos swirls around him.

Two women attempting to break up the fight are also punched and stamped on before collapsing.
