Theodore Tundidor was pulled over by FWC officers for reckless driving after he left scene of attempted kidnapping.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Body camera footage from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office shows the arrest of Theodore Tundidor, suspected of trying to abduct an 18-year-old from a smoke shop near SR 206 in St. Augustine.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers first attempted to stop Tundidor for reckless driving. In the footage, one officer notes Tundidor was speeding along the bike lane on A1A. Despite two attempts to pull him over, he eventually stopped in a condominium area off A1A in St. Augustine.

In the video, Tundidor exits a Toyota Tacoma and complies without any struggle. Officers ask if he had used marijuana, mentioning they detected its odor. Upon searching the vehicle, officers suspected they had found over 20 grams of marijuana.

Officers also found a medical bracelet on Tundidor’s wrist; however, the name on the bracelet was ‘John Walker.’ The registration on the truck also did not match Tundidor’s name.

Deputies with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene shortly after. They had been looking for a gray Toyota Tacoma since that was the truck Tundidor could be seen driving when he attempt to rob the smoke shop and kidnap the employee. Tundidor could be heard on the body camera video saying that he did not know whose truck it was.

Deputies tried to get his fingerprints from a mobile scanner, but it started raining which impacted their ability to use the device. Tundidor was then taken to the St. Johns County Jail where he faces charges from both law enforcement agencies.
