Destiny’s Child came together once more for the grand finale of Beyoncé Knowles-Carter’s Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour, which raked in $387.8 million over 32 shows, ending in Paradise, NV on Saturday night.
The 43-year-old R&B star, along with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, delivered performances of their early 2000s hits such as Lose My Breath and Bootylicious. Yet, the highlight that captured widespread attention was their support in singing her 2022 hit Energy.
This disco-themed track fueled Beyoncé’s ‘Everybody on Mute’ challenge. During this, Kelly, whose full name is Kelendria, paused for five seconds before signaling ‘shut up’ to the still-enthusiastic audience at Allegiant Stadium.
The 44-year-old R&B songstress then cracked a reassuring smile to let the audience know she wasn’t truly upset.
Destiny’s Child last reunited for the November 21st opening of Michelle’s Broadway musical Death Becomes Her at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in Manhattan.
But the popular girl group – which quit in 2005 – hadn’t performed live together since Knowles-Carter’s headlining gig at California’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2018.

It came two months after Kelly walked off the set of TODAY after being ‘offended’ that Savannah Guthrie kept asking her about Beyoncé’ rather than her own project during the 8am interview.
Rowland was scheduled to fill in for Jenna Bush Hager in the fourth hour as guest host of TODAY with Hoda & Jenna, but left Studio 1A at Rockefeller Center after she and her team were ‘unhappy and felt disrespected’ – according to TheWrap.
