Newcastle United have unveiled their new away kit for the 2025/26 season – and green is back on the menu.

Following last season’s claret and blue stripes, the Magpies are embracing a vibrant green design that’s quickly becoming a hallmark of their era after the takeover.

Designed by adidas, the jersey showcases a tonal print influenced by the iconic arches of the Tyne Bridge, a beloved emblem of the city. The shirt’s simple elegance is enhanced by white accents on the collar, cuffs, and branding, with a v-neck style and a discreet ‘NUFC’ sign-off on the back of the neck for a polished look.

The full kit is completed with white shorts marked by adidas’ iconic three stripes in green, and matching green socks featuring a small Magpie crest.

Commenting on the new release, club captain Bruno Guimarães remarked, “I think this new away kit looks great – I love all of our kits for this season. I’m sure our fans will love them too, because they reflect who we are and the significance of wearing the Newcastle United badge.”

Although green has appeared sporadically in Newcastle kits over the years, its increased use recently, highlighted by the all-green kit from 2022/23, marks a new era for the club.

Many have drawn comparisons to the Saudi Arabian national team’s colours, a likely nod to the club’s current ownership group.

Nevertheless, with the team performing well on the field post-takeover, most fans seem to agree – as long as the victories continue, the color of the shirts won’t be a concern.
