Liz Warren Gets Schooled After Going All-In for Mamdani’s Socialism Plans: ‘They Will Leave’

During an interview on CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” aired on Monday, the host warned Warren about Mamdani’s initiative to impose taxes on billionaires, suggesting that such actions would prompt them to leave, taking jobs and wealth away.

“But raising taxes in order to do it?! Why is that the answer?” the host asked.

“Oh dear, are you worried that billionaires are going to go hungry?!” Warren said.

The host shot back, “No, I’m worried that they’re going to leave and spend their money elsewhere!”

Warren suggested those were just idle threats, and the host had to point out that, no, they are not.

“And they have!” the host added. “Goldman Sachs, for instance, expands its job creation in Dallas. Blackstone is avoiding the establishment of a new headquarters. The trend continues… But addressing them solely by increasing taxes will push them to relocate.”

The Senator seemed unaware of the consequences of the radical socialist Democrats’ economic ideas, particularly when she supported Mamdani’s efforts to make housing more “affordable” through his plans, which include rent freezes, free childcare, and state-operated grocery stores.

“He’s gonna experiment to try to bring down grocery costs and food deserts. God bless him on that,” she added. “He’s going to try something.”

As RedState’s Ward Clark reported, Mamdani’s communist plans to make housing affordable are doomed to fail.

Burgos told Fox News:

“His initiative to freeze rent on rent-stabilized housing, which comprises nearly 40% of New York City’s housing, is risky. These properties, as identified by the NYU Furman Center, include around 200,000 units that are functionally bankrupt. Enforcing a rent freeze could severely impact this housing sector,” NYAA CEO Kenny Burgos commented to Fox News Digital.

“So if he’s attempting to achieve affordability, what he’s instead going to achieve is insolvency.”

Becky Noble highlighted that government-operated grocery stores aren’t as innovative as Warren suggested, mentioning how they have repeatedly failed wherever implemented, including examples in the U.S.

She reported on how a city-run grocery store in Kansas City attempted to address so-called “food deserts” and has failed miserably.
