SEATTLE (WCIA) — The Seattle Seahawks are re-signing former Illini Seth Coleman to add some depth to their defensive line.

Coleman, initially released by the team earlier in the week, rejoined Seattle on August 6, before their preseason game against the Raiders this Thursday. The defensive end, who was not selected in the 2025 draft, first signed with the Seahawks in May. He was let go on Monday to clear space for another signing but rejoined the roster just two days later.

During his time at Illinois, Coleman was a consistent starter for three of his six years and achieved 183 tackles, 28 tackles for a loss, 15.5 sacks, and defended 15 passes. He earned All-Big Ten honorable mention accolades twice, in 2022 and 2023, during his tenure in Champaign.
