There has been a miracle on a major Sydneymotorway with a woman surviving her car becoming crushed in the middle of multiple trucks.

Firefighters discovered a woman in her 20s who was conscious and breathing. They comforted her while working to free her from the accident scene on the M7 at Eastern Creek around 9:15 am.

Her Toyota Yaris was mangled and shattered after the five-vehicle nose-to-tail crash near the Light Horseman Interchange in the city’s west.

Inspector Andrew Ticehurst from Fire and Rescue NSW said the car was “sandwiched between two trucks”.

A helicopter landed medical teams in the center of the M7, and the truck involved was lifted and supported by bricks. This action enabled them to extract the car, allowing firefighters to release the woman from the crash.

“The driver was conscious when the fire crews first arrived, and they were able to talk to her,” Ticehurst said.

She was pulled out from what was the roof after around 90 minutes and rushed to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

She had only suffered injuries to her face.
