A TOP Russian propagandist who was once accused of treason by Ukraine has mysteriously died in Moscow.

Kirill Vyshinsky, 58, is the latest to join a string of “mysterious” deaths among Russia’s elite.

Vyshinsky was the executive director of the Russia Today state media empire.

He was born in Ukraine and was a native of Dnipro.

In 2018, Ukraine’s main intelligence SBU, detained him on charges of high treason for working for Russian propaganda.

A year later, Vyshinsky renounced his Ukrainian citizenship and was transferred to Russia as part of a prisoner exchange.

After returning to Moscow, he continued his propaganda activities and became a public supporter of Putin’s illegal invasion of Ukraine.

He described the goal of the war as “demilitarisation and denazification” of Ukraine.

Russian state media outlets today said Vyshinsky had died after a “lengthy” or “serious” illness.

However, there were no previous reports that the Russian media mogul was ill.

He had made regular radio appearances this summer, while also working as executive director of the Russian Today propaganda machine

The propagandist was on Putin’s so-called “human rights council” and publicly represented the tyrant in the last presidential election.

This is the latest in dozens of mysterious deaths of leading figures in Russia since shortly before the start of the war against Ukraine.

Permanent figures – from top Oligarchs to even ministers inside the Russian government – have secretly dropped dead.

Many have been found on the street with their death ruled as having happened when they “fell out of a window”.

Other individuals have met their demise in varied tragic circumstances, such as suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, perishing in a fire after dozing off with a cigarette still burning, and succumbing to fatal injuries inflicted by an axe.

Just weeks ago, Russian oil tycoon Andrey Badalov fell from the 17th floor of the luxury Moscow tower block.

And before that,  Putin’s transport minister was found dead after being found with gunshot wounds.

Roman Starovoit, 53, was sacked by Putin on Monday after he couldn’t stop Ukraine from causing mayhem in Russia’s aviation industry.

But he was dead just hours later – with the circumstances unclear and conflicting details emerging about what happened.

Transneft vice-president Andrey Badalov, 62, also fell to his death from the elite tower block where he lived on Moscow’s Rublevskoye Highway.

And in March, a former Russian MP died in Moscow after plunging from a window.

Buvaysar Saitiev, 49, was found in a “serious condition” outside a building on Minskaya Street in the latest mystery death to rock Russia.

In 2022, Ravil Maganov, the chairman of Lukoil, which ranks as Russia’s second-biggest oil corporation, also passed away after falling from a sixth-floor window at the prestigious Central Clinical Hospital in Moscow.
