The search for Emmanuel Haro is still ongoing, and a former district attorney suspects that authorities have a good idea of where the child’s body might be hidden.

Kim DeGonia, who previously served as a district attorney in Riverside County, California, mentioned on “Banfield” on Wednesday that District Attorney Michael Hestrin pointed out that the location officers had Haro search with them over the past weekend was incorrect.

Haro was assisting search-and-rescue teams near the 60 Freeway and Gilman Springs Road in Moreno Valley.

“There’s a strong indication they know where the body is,” DeGonia said about Hestrin’s comments.

DeGonia noted that authorities haven’t been searching landfills, even though Haro allegedly told an informant he put Emmanuel’s body in the trash.

Jake Haro made double admission

Jake Haro told police he accidentally rolled over on the infant, killing him, sources told ‘s Brian Entin. But Haro had a second story.

He also told a jail informant that he killed Emmanuel and placed him in the trash. That “confession” was part of a Perkins operation.

“Jake’s incriminating remarks could have emerged at any stage of this operation; either at the start, during his time with other inmates, or potentially later with investigators,” DeGonia commented regarding the Perkins operation.

Emmanuel’s mother, Rebecca Haro, was also involved in a Perkins operation but maintained her original narrative that Emmanuel was abducted on August 14 after she was hit and lost consciousness in a parking lot while changing his diaper.

Last week, Jake and Rebecca Haro were taken into custody on murder charges. Authorities report that the couple is cooperating to an extent with the investigation, with their arraignment scheduled for next week.
