Influencer Lola Doll is in critical condition after being shot multiple times in Georgetown, Guyana.

The 33-year-old, named Lolita Callender, came under attack outside her home in Texas Square, East Ruimveldt, late Saturday night, Sept. 6, around 11:35 p.m. local time, as per a report from the Guyana Police Force (GPF) available on Facebook.

Callender is currently receiving medical care at Georgetown Public Hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds to her neck, face, hands, and right leg.

Lola Doll is best known for her bold and provocative social media content and music videos. 

Authorities have stressed that the investigation remains ongoing and are urging anyone with information to come forward. 

On Sunday, authorities announced that they had made an arrest, stating the suspect is currently ‘assisting with the investigation’, as reported by Dance Hall.

Outside the residence, Lolita Callender was singled out on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 6, at around 11:35 p.m. local time, which the Guyana Police Force (GPF) acknowledged in a social media post.

Meanwhile, new details are emerging, with reports claiming Lola’s brother witnessed the shooting. 

“I was indoors when I heard gunshots and rushed out to see what happened, only to find my sister in her car surrounded by blood, so much blood,” her brother revealed to the Stabroek News newspaper.

He further shared, “We immediately took her to the hospital… I’m unsure about the exact spots she was hit, but she suffered shots to her face and side, along with other places… there was just so much blood.”

‘She lost a lot of blood but she is a fighter.’

On Sunday, surveillance footage was disseminated showing a solitary gunman rapidly approaching Lola’s white Mercedes-Benz and opening fire, according to Dance Hall.

The GPF statement read: ‘The Guyana Police Force is investigating an alleged incident of discharging a loaded firearm committed on 33-year-old Lolita Callender, also known as Lola Doll, of Texas Square, East Ruimveldt. 

‘The incident occurred at about 23:35 hrs in front of her residence at Texas Square. 

‘She is presently receiving medical attention at the Georgetown Public Hospital, where she remains in critical condition, having sustained gunshot wounds to her neck, face, hands, and right leg. 

‘I was inside at home when I hear gunshots and run out to see was what, only to see me sister lying in she car and blood, if you see blood, pouring out,’ Lola’s brother told the Stabroek News newspaper

‘Preliminary information indicates that the victim was seated in her motor car when she was shot by a male on a motorcycle. 

‘Police ranks are actively pursuing the suspect, and CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed as part of the investigation. 

‘The Guyana Police Force is urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to come forward. Persons can also share information anonymously by calling 911 or the nearest police station. Investigations are ongoing.’
