SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Good morning, StormTeam 3 Meteorologist Alysa Carsley – let’s have a fabulous Monday!
Who is excited for another bout of pleasantly cool temperatures?! I certainly am, particularly after experiencing a brief return of summer over the weekend. We had three consecutive days with a high of 91 degrees. Today, we’re cooling down again! A northeasterly wind is sweeping down the coast, influenced by high pressure to our north and a stationary front situated offshore. This will bring back high temperatures in the low 80s. Our work week is starting off cloudy, though there will be some glimpses of sun later this afternoon. A stray coastal rain shower might occur.
The stationary front will shift closer to our coast tomorrow, allowing for scattered rain across the day. The breezy northeasterly wind will persist, with gusts reaching up to 25 mph. Temperatures will remain comfortably cool, with highs in the lower 80s.
By Wednesday, we start to see more sunshine as temperatures remain in the mid 80s. Isolated showers will be possible in the afternoon.
We get to enjoy warm, comfortable sunshine to end the work week and head into this upcoming weekend with highs in the mid 80s.
