JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) – The National Story Telling Festival returns to Jonesborough Oct. 3-5 for its 52nd year.

After last year’s break caused by Hurricane Helene’s impact, the festival is returning in 2025 with over two dozen featured storytellers, as stated in a release from the International Storytelling Center.

“I believe my role is to provoke thought, elicit laughter, and perhaps draw a few tears,” commented Retired Major General John Borling in the press release. “The core of storytelling is about connecting deeply with people.”

Some parts of the festival will be available for free via livestream, but those attending in person can find paid passes and additional details on the Storytelling Center’s website.
