BREAKING: Human Remains Found Amid Search for Travis Decker, Dad Suspected of Murdering 3 Daughters

Authorities in Washington state announced on Thursday that human remains discovered this week might belong to Travis Decker — who was missing for several months after allegedly murdering his three daughters at a campground.

The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office informed KOMO that remains possibly connected to Decker were located during a multi-agency search in an area south of Leavenworth. These remains, discovered in a wooded location, are preliminarily believed to belong to the 32-year-old Decker.

Officials have not revealed the state of the remains, which are pending formal identification.

On June 2, the Wenatchee Police Department reported that officers found 9-year-old Paityn Decker, 8-year-old Evelyn Decker, and 5-year-old Olivia Decker deceased near the Rock Island Campground. The girls were found with plastic bags over their heads — two of them had two bags, while the third had three.

Investigators suspect that Decker killed his daughters during an organized visitation before fleeing. DNA analysis identified the former Army soldier as the only suspect, as the DNA on the bags matched only him and his daughters.

Decker’s truck was discovered abandoned close to the scene of the crime. According to The Seattle Times, bloody handprints were found on the truck’s tailgate. His cellphone data purportedly indicated he was in the area around the time his daughters were last observed.

An arrest warrant for Decker was issued in June. He was charged with three counts each of first-degree aggravated murder and first-degree kidnapping.
