SAVANNAH, Ga — Thursday marked another year of the Savannah Area Chamber’s annual business expo.
The event featured approximately 85 vendors and allowed for attendees to peruse some of the local economy.
“If you don’t walk down Broughton, you might miss the opportunity to experience such a vibrant area. We strongly encourage the public to visit and explore all the wonderful businesses,” said Savannah Area Chamber president and CEO Bert Brantley. “For a business owner, it’s rare to have 800 people passing by your store daily… This is a unique chance to showcase what you’ve got.”
Brantley told that the event allows for businesses to gain exposure in the community and is a highlight for him and his team.
“This is the heart of business activity,” he added. “This is where the magic unfolds. It’s our favorite event of the year and undoubtedly the most enjoyable one.”
The event had businesses that are just starting out to seasoned veterans with the chamber.
Diana Morrison, owner of Ad Specialty, told that her business has been operating for 37 years and Thursday marked her 35th expo appearance.
One of her employees, Tabatha Spencer, spoke about why the business decides to attend the event annually.
“We pick up a lot of business from this expo and it’s nice to support local businesses as well.”
Morrison said the business has no plans to change the trend.
“I will always support our Chamber of Commerce,” she said. “They’ve been very good to me. They’ve helped me grow my business.”
