A Minnesota man who reportedly informed the police on himself after fatally stabbing his pregnant wife will need to provide millions of dollars to secure his release from jail.

Saleebaan Mohamed Abdirisaaq, 26, attended his bond hearing remotely on Friday, where a judge set his bail at $6 million without conditions and $4 million with conditions. Abdirisaaq was detained after allegedly calling police to visit an apartment in St. Cloud late Tuesday night. The criminal complaint obtained by Law&Crime states that Abdirisaaq informed dispatchers that “someone died” and he “wanted to turn himself in.” Police indicated that Abdirisaaq requested their presence, urging them to “just come see.”

The victim was 24-year-old Falus A. Ali, whom Abdirisaaq called his “wife,” and who was 17 weeks pregnant.

As per the criminal complaint, Ali, declared deceased after transportation to St. Cloud Hospital, was purportedly stabbed 34 times. Police located her in the apartment’s living room, on the floor, amidst “coagulating” blood. Injuries were noted on her “neck, shoulders, arms, chest, left breast, and her jaw.”

Abdirisaaq allegedly stated during his call to 911 that she had died 20 minutes earlier.

Police said that a 5-inch, serrated kitchen knife “covered in blood” was found on the floor near Ali’s body.

The criminal complaint noted that the couple’s 3-year-old child was on the apartment’s patio with Abdirisaaq and later placed in the care of other family members. Police reported overhearing the child discussing Abdirisaaq “punching” Ali while “motioning with a balled fist towards the neck.” The complaint detailed that Ali had “a large number of stab wounds” on the right side of her neck.

Police interviewed Abdirisaaq’s brother, who relayed that he received a call from Abdirisaaq confessing he “killed his wife with a knife.” He also revealed the couple’s documented history of domestic violence issues. In February, Abdirisaaq was convicted of breaching a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order (DANCO) in Sherburne County. Additionally, he was arrested for making violent threats against Ali in Hennepin County in September 2024. He had been released with the condition to avoid contacting Ali.

Abdirisaaq was charged with four counts of second-degree murder and remains in custody on $6 million bail without conditions and $4 million bail with conditions. His next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 7.
