Justin Bieber was ruthlessly trolled by fans on social as his ex Selena Gomez tied the knot with Benny Blanco over the weekend.

The 31-year-old singer, whose mother recently urged fans to keep him in their thoughts through a concerning social media post, updated his main Instagram account on Saturday. He shared several photos from his basketball game at The League in L.A., which took place the previous day.

The star is married to wife Hailey and the couple are parents to son Jack, one – but he previously dated Selena on-and-off from 2010 through 2018.

The former Disney Channel star got married to Benny in a romantic and intimate ceremony in Santa Barbara, attended by several celebrities like Taylor Swift.

Justin faced criticism in the comments section of his new photos, where many social media users posted GIFs featuring both him, Selena, and his wife Hailey.

Commenters also pointed out the Wolves singer’s recent marriage, with one stating, “The love of your life got married,” in a nod to his former relationship.

Others continuously mentioned that the Wolves songstress had tied the knot, with one penning, ‘the love of your life got married,’ referencing to his ex-girlfriend

‘We just know you’re hurting rn,’ another shared, while one added, ‘His wife posting all these photos.’ 

A fan commented, ‘I came here for the comments,’ and one typed, ‘Let me get some popcorn because these comments about to be interesting.’ 

In one of the posts, Justin’s song I Do played in the background. He dropped the track earlier this month which is seemingly dedicated to his wife Hailey. 

‘Anybody think it’s funny how the song he chose is I Do,’ an Instagram user penned, and one added, ‘Kinda wild to post this “I do” on the day his ex gets married.’

Another typed out, ‘Was waiting for the Justin Bieber post,’ followed by a laughing face emoji. 

However, others came to the singer’s defense with one sharing, ‘he’s allowed to post on his Instagram… that’s literally what instagram is for!! just a reminder!’  

‘Y’all leave him alone,’ another fan wrote, while one commented, ‘y’all should be celebrating her wedding not in HIS comment section,’ referencing to Gomez. 

Back in 2009, Justin and Selena first met when they were introduced by their managers. And the following year, the pair sparked up romance rumors when spotted on a date.

While Selena has known Benny for many years, she didn’t confirm their romance until late 2023.

In the sweet post, Selena could be seen wearing a white, halter-styled gown from Ralph Lauren while Benny also dressed for the occasion in a black tuxedo. 

Although some reports indicated the pictures were of the wedding, they appear to have been taken at the venue for Friday night’s rehearsal dinner – a mansion on a vast 1,863-acre estate in Goleta’s tony Hope Ranch neighborhood, nestled in the foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains.

The couple cozied up in the photos and at one point, strolled hand-in-hand as they made their way across the scenic venue.

Sydney Sweeney and Sabrina Carpenter were quick to like the post, while other stars shared congratulatory messages in the comment section such as Camila Cabello and Amy Schumer. 

Exclusive Daily Mail photos captured the glamorous guests stepping into sleek black Mercedes vans as they headed to the venue where the ceremony took place – which was a 70-acre private plantation. 

Selena also reportedly spent around $300K for security measures and safety precautions over the weekend.

Some social media users jumped to the comment section of Pattie’s post earlier this week to share their thoughts.
