A disgraced Florida nurse caught sexually assaulting her 15 year-old stepson by the boy’s father faces fresh anguish from behind bars.

According to the Daily Mail, Alexis Von Yates, 34, and her spouse David Yates have parted ways following her arrest last year on charges of sexually assaulting his son.

The two wed in November 2017 in Lake Kerr, Marion County, according to a marriage record seen by the Daily Mail, and share two children.

A remand report indicates that Yates informed corrections officials about their separation. It remains uncertain whether legal divorce proceedings have begun.

David had posted photos of the couple on his social media accounts since January 2014. It appears Von Yates removed her own accounts after being incarcerated last year.

Merely six days before a significant date, she agreed to a plea bargain, admitting no contest to an accusation of lewd and lascivious battery against a minor aged between 12 and 16.

The plea deal will see her spend two years in prison, followed by two years of community control and ten years of sex offender probation. 

Von Yates must also sign the sex offenders’ registry.

Von Yates and her ex two share two children, with Yates having a third son from a previous relationship. 

Last July the boy had been in Ocala spending time with his dad, step-mom and younger siblings when Von Yates sexually assaulted the teenager. 

The incident was vividly recounted to law enforcement, detailing how the pair engaged in sexual activity after vaping cannabis oil and watching a movie, while his father was at work.

Frank discovered the two, and Von Yates later confessed to her then-husband, admitting her actions were driven by the teen’s resemblance to him, according to a police report.

She also claimed her victim’s penis looked like a more youthful version of her husband’s. 

The boy told investigators how Von Yates started sexually assaulting him and that they’d heard the garage door open.

But the boy said they did not stop, with his father then walking in and shouting ‘What the f**k’ is going on?’ at the sight of his wife raping his son. 

He was then said to have begun throwing objects, before branding Von Yates a ‘c***’ and a ‘child predator.’

The boy – who told police he was a virgin at the time – claimed Von Yates made a joke about him watching ‘step-mom pornos’ and her sexual appetite the week before the attack.

The night of the assault she started telling the teenager ‘how horny’ she was after not having sex for two weeks because she had been on her period. 

He described in detail how he started kissing her neck, with Yates saying: ‘I wish you were 18, because you’re not old enough.’

Von Yates then kicked off her underwear before engaging in oral sex and intercourse without the use of a condom, the teen said.

According to the affidavit, Von Yates would occasionally say ‘oh f***’ and ‘this is so bad’ during the tryst. 

The document also describes how they ‘heard something in the garage’ but ‘kept going’ before the boy’s father walked in after returning from working a late shift. 

As his father walked in, the teenager told investigators he ran to the bathroom with his pants around his ankles. 

The boy said when questioned by his father he refused to tell him what had happened, and Von Yates told her husband she had asked the boy to stop. 

According to the original arrest affidavit, the boy insisted that wasn’t true and feared his father was going to beat him with a belt.

Following the assault, the boy was taken to his grandparents’ house, with his father telling him on the way that he had ‘ruined his life’.

Once at his grandparents’ home, the boy said his grandfather discouraged him from calling his biological mother to tell her what had happened.

The following day the teen called Von Yates who told him he wished his father hadn’t caught them, the affidavit adds. 

In October, the victim’s father eventually sent an anonymous tip to police about the incident, the affidavit said.

At her sentencing last month she appeared in a full face of makeup and remained stony-faced as she refused to make any comment to the court. 

In a statement to the court, the mother of the boy described what happened to her son as making her ‘ill’ and derided Von Yates as a ‘coward’.

As the boy’s mother spoke, Von Yates screwed up her face, especially when she claimed the sex offender had bragged about being handed a short sentence.

After being questioned briefly about her son, who she said is undergoing therapy, she claimed the boy’s father had spoken to him only once in the last year.

She said: ‘I will be by his side to support him, just as I always have. But it is not fair that I am the only one left to pick up the pieces of the mess Alexis created.

‘I am angry, I am hurt, at times it makes me physically ill. But I, like [my son] will rise above.

‘Despite all of the trauma inflicted upon him, he still has a beautiful life to look forward to. A life full of love, hope and endless possibilities.’

She added: ‘As for you Alexis, you have shown absolutely no remorse or accountability for your despicable actions.’

The mother then made her claim that Von Yates had actively bragged about her light two year sentence.

She continued: ‘But there is something you will never escape, the deep well emptiness inside of you. The lack of compassion, or love, or care.

‘You systemically manipulated, groomed, and sexually abused a child. Through your actions, and through your conduct since you have proven to be a coward.

‘There is nowhere you can go to escape the truth. For the rest of your life the world will see you for exactly what you are.

‘An incestuous pedophile who will forever only be remembered for what she took from a child.’

The youngster also spoke directly to the court however the audio of that was withheld due to an order made by the judge. Von Yates kept her eyes to the ground as he did.

After being asked if she wished to make any statements to the court, Von Yates replied: ‘No comment.’

She was then seen being led away to be fingerprinted and was seen being placed in cuffs.

As well as the prison sentence, she would also have to complete 200 hours of community service, cover court costs and pay fines.
