An elementary school teacher in Wisconsin was charged with sex crimes involving a young boy, marking the second case of such abuse by a teacher at the same school.

Abigail Faust – a fifth-grade teacher at Rivercrest Elementary School in Hudson – was arrested for allegedly kissing one of her students.

The 24-year-old teacher is now being accused of molesting a different child in December of 2024, whom she nannied.

On September 29, 25-year-old Madison Bergman admitted to abusing an 11-year-old boy in her classroom, and she could face up to 18 years of imprisonment.

While authorities were investigating Bergmann in May of 2024, they were informed about concerning behavior by Faust, according to KSTP.

A college friend of the accused, identified as Faust, reported the inappropriate relationship to Child Protective Services after learning about it from the teacher.

An aide at the school also reported to police that she noticed Faust was very close to a child.

Reportedly, the time frames of her victims overlapped one another.

As Faust was accused of abusing a 15-year-old boy whom she had been nannying since 2021.

She then allegedly kissed a different fifth-grade student at the end of the school day.

The victims saw Faust on the news because of the allegations, and their parents reached out to each other, according to The Independent.

Faust allegedly said that she was in love with one of the boys after she found out she was going to be charged, according to deputies.

Earlier in August, the former teacher faced charges of failing to protect a child, causing mental harm to a child, child enticement, and sexual misconduct by school staff.

Police searched the teachers’ messages and found that they were discussing their relationships with the children.

The victim’s mother informed the police that her son was aware of the improper relationship between Faust and another child, as reported by the outlet.

The school district responded with a statement: ‘We understand that trust is crucial in our school community, and we are dedicated to ensuring a safe learning environment for all students.’

‘Over the past year, the Hudson School District has strengthened training for staff on professional boundaries with students.’

‘A committee of administrators and staff partnered with Wisconsin Awareness to Action, a child sexual abuse prevention organization, to review and refine District policies and procedures that reinforce staff expectations regarding professional boundaries’

The district also said that it has increased communication with families to ensure they understand the expectations and restrictions between staff and students during and after school.

They added: ‘This news can impact our students and staff in unexpected ways. Going forward, the School District is committed to providing any needed support to our students and staff as they process this information.’

The Daily Mail has reached out to Faust’s attorney for comment.
