THE VILLAGE, Okla. (KFOR) Metro police officers encountered a surprising situation on Wednesday.

They discovered dozens of dogs, some seemingly on the verge of death, living in a home.

These dogs are now under animal control’s care, but signs of their presence remain.

“There are at least 15 dogs,” an officer commented over his body camera footage.

Body camera footage recently obtained revealed the Village Police officers opening a door on Churchill Way.

They were called to help animal control with a case of animal cruelty, but they weren’t prepared for what came next.

Officers say 30 dogs were found living inside the home.

“There is more closed off in these rooms. We have got at least four right there,” another officer said over his body camera.

Officers said the dogs were sectioned off together inside the home with no access to food or water.

They described most of the dogs as malnourished and neglected, also saying there was urine and feces everywhere, and the smell was unbearable.

Hours later, the two people who live at the home returned.

Police then arrested 57-year-old Diana Emerson and 59-year-old Timothy Price, charging them with 30 counts of animal cruelty.

The animal has removed the dogs.

They say they will be cared for until they are fully healthy again.
