Disgraced financier Howard Rubin’s former personal assistant is alleged to have lived a life of opulence financed by the ex-Soros Fund Management portfolio manager, while simultaneously recruiting women for his sexual exploitation over a span of more than ten years, federal prosecutors claim.

Jennifer Powers, 45, was present in Brooklyn federal court earlier this week, entering a plea of not guilty to charges of sex trafficking and transporting women across state lines for sexual activities with Rubin, as indicated by court documents accessed by Fox News Digital.

Federal prosecutors assert that Rubin “financed nearly every aspect” of Powers’ lifestyle from at least 2018 until 2023, which included her Manhattan apartment expenses, credit card payments, private education for her children, and the down payment and mortgage for her family’s residence in Texas.

Rubin is further accused of covering Powers’ legal fees related to a 2017 lawsuit filed by several Playboy models who he allegedly abused. A jury held only Rubin responsible, granting the women $3.9 million – a verdict Rubin is currently contesting, according to The Associated Press.

Jennifer Powers was released on an $850,000 bond, with conditions to remain on house arrest and wear an ankle monitor, as stated in court documents. She had previously worked as a substitute teacher for the Carroll Independent School District in Texas but has since been dismissed, according to CBS Texas.

Rubin has pleaded not guilty and is being held without bail until his next court date on Oct. 20.

Jennifer Powers’ attorney did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment. Fox News Digital was unable to immediately locate attorneys assigned to Rubin and Stephen Powers.
