Dobyns-Bennett will join nine other marching bands for the parade.
In addition to the honor of performing at the iconic parade, the band will also receive a $10,000 grant from Macy’s for fundraising efforts.
“Returning to the Macy’s Parade is an incredible honor! This is particularly special because our band program will commemorate our Centennial during the 100th Macy’s Parade,” said Lafe Cook, Director of Dobyns-Bennett High School Marching Band in the release. “When celebrating significant milestones like a 100th birthday, you think of celebrating with family.
